Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. She is best known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and appeared in her own film Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was a part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson was her artist younger sister. Benson has a father who is Jewish as is her mother Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson was first seen in films like The Killing Jar. Benson has also been featured in TV shows like Morganville The Series. Behind the camera, she put her writing skills in The Ghosts of Albion series and was the director on shows like The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones. Buffy states that, after taking the time to count and locate them, she came across at least 1800 Slayers across the world, of which 500 are associated with the Scooby Gang.
